USAFA cadet honored as Cadet of the Year
Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley (right), Air Force Academy Cadet 1st Class Dustin Hayhurst (center) and David Cyster stand beside the Millennium Sword of Friendship May 10, 2012, in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Donley then presented the 2011 U.S. Air Force Cadet of the Year Award to Hayhurst, and Cyster presented Hayhurst a coin symbolizing presentation of the Sword to him in honor of being named the Cadet of the Year. Hayhurst earned the award by demonstrating excellence in military skills, academics and athletics in an Air Force commissioning program.
