Staff Sgt. Adam Vanhaaster attaches a hoist to a patient’s litter to be lifted into a HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopter Feb. 4, 2012, 200 miles off the coast of California. Responding to a call from the Eleventh District Coast Guard at Alameda, Calif., pararescuemen, two Pave Hawks and one MC-130P Combat Shadow aircraft, all from the 129th Rescue Wing, rescued a man suffering stroke-like symptoms aboard the MSC Beijing.
