455th ECES's innovation maintains mission safety
BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan—Staff Sgt. Chase Dowd reattaches a makeshift hose to a temporary de-icing station constructed at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Jan. 5, 2012. Dowd is in the 455th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. He used the station to refill his 2,450 gallon truck with pre-mixed solution within 20 minutes, as opposed to the average three hours it would take without a station.
