Eye dropper
Tech. Sgt. Amy Lee serves as one of two dropsonde operators Aug. 26, 2011, on board a WC-130J aircraft with the Air Force’s Hurricane Hunters over the Atlantic. The operators launched a series of dropsondes, which are weather reconnaissance devices, out of the bottom of the aircraft via a large tube each time the aircraft entered the eye of the storm. A WC-130J is a modified C-130 Hercules aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. J. Justin Pearce)
