Mobile surgical teams
Staff Sgt. Jonathan Kertulis helps Dr. (Maj) Gustavo Lopes during an inguinal hernia repair surgery May 31, 2011, in Southwest Asia. The 379th Expeditionary Medical Group features a mobile-forward surgical team that is ready to respond to contingencies. When not forward deployed, the team performs routine procedures that allow deployed service members to stay in theater for care and recovery.
