Law enforcement members honored during Police Week
Airmen celebrated National Police Week with a ceremonial retiring of two Airmen who were killed in the line of duty and other events at Osan Air Base, South Korea. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Thousands of law enforcement agencies around the world celebrate the week to remember those who have been killed in the line of duty. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Chad Thompson)
