Last frontier for tactical air control
Tech. Sgt. Jason Rutledge tears down airfield panels on a dirt landing zone Feb. 16, 2011, at Forward Operating Base Lagman, Afghanistan. The panels were set up to show a C-130 Hercules aircrew where they should land. Sergeant Rutledge was there to make sure the dirt landing zone was safe for aircraft to land. Sergeant Rutledge is a joint terminal attack controller assigned to the 807th Expeditionary Air Support Operations Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Adrian Cadiz)
