Col. Rusty Wilson thanks the National Homeland Defense Foundation Nov. 19, 2010, for its work in securing a piece of the World Trade Center for a memorial at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, Colo. About 100 servicemembers and civilians gathered for the arrival of the beam, which was released by Port Authority of New York and New Jersey officials to the foundation and then presented to officials at Cheyenne Mountain AFS.
