commemorative Antarctic airway chart
This commemorative Antarctic airway chart, presented to the country of New Zealand by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton Nov. 5, 2010, during a ceremony in Christchurch, New Zealand, is used in international flight navigation from New Zealand to Antarctica, especially for Operation Deep Freeze. The chart was created by Col. Ronald Smith who was commander of Operation Deep Freeze from 2005 to 2008. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Scott T. Sturkol)
