Rick Lord opens the first Expeditionary Combat Support System work order as Fritz Cooper looks on Aug. 2, 2010, at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass. Hanscom AFB is the pilot base for implementing ECSS, which will ultimately be used by more than 40,000 people at approximately 180 installations.
