This B-17G static display honors Maj. Gen. Lewis E. Lyle at the 8th Air Force Museum April 5, 2010, at Barksdale Air Force Base, La. Barksdale AFB Airmen, volunteers and contractors are in the process of restoring the B-17 and painting it to resemble one that was flown by General Lyle on a bombing mission during World War II.
