Deworming conference
A slide in Russian being shown at a medical conference April 2, 2010, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, features the four major kinds of parasitic worms that have been found in children. So far, two million individuals have been dewormed in Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. In the coming year, officials with the U.S. government and the Transit Center at Manas will support the deworming project in order to successfully eradicate parasitic disease.
