General Clark honored with service
Roses placed by family members honor the remains of Lt. Gen. Albert P. Clark, who died March 8, 2010, in Colorado Springs, Colo. General Clark, who was the Academy's sixth superintendent from Aug. 1, 1970 to July 31, 1974, was a 1936 graduate of West Point and went on to a flying career after graduation. He spent 33 months as a prisoner of war after getting shot down flying a British Spitfire over Abbeville, France, in July 1942. General Clark was buried in the Air Force Academy Cemetery March 17.
