Hospital donation
Paul Simons, the U.S. ambassador to Chile, presents a certificate to Enrique Neira, the mayor of Angol, Chile, during a ceremony March 24, 2010, to recognize the donation of the expeditionary hospital to the citizens of Angol. Prior to the building of this hospital, medical professionals in Angol used a 16-bed clinic to treat patients in the community. With the addition of this hospital, health professionals in Angol will have back about 60 percent of the beds lost as a result of the 8.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Chile Feb. 27.
