Tech. Sgt. Chad Buttler conducts a preflight check on a C-17 Globemaster III Jan. 18, 2010, at Pope Air Force Base, N.C., before taking off for a humanitarian mission to Haiti. The C-17 and crew conducted the first humanitarian air delivery mission over Haiti to test the feasibility of future missions in speeding along the flow of supplies into the country.
