A line of C-130 Hercules aircraft taxi during a U.S. Air Force Weapons School Mobility Air Forces Exercise on Nov. 18, 2009, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The aircraft are taking part in the bi-annual MAFEX which provides realistic training for combat air force, mobility air force and U.S. Army personnel. Approximately 40 C-17 Globemaster IIIs and C-130s from Air Force bases around the U.S. flew some 400 Soldiers from Fort Bragg, N.C., for airdrops on the nearby Nevada Test and Training Range. In addition to providing airdrop training, the exercise also allows Soldiers the opportunity to use range facilities to conduct urban ground operations training.
