Close-air-support exercise tests Atlantic Strike participants
Senior Airman Ashley Hunter loads and secures a practice munition onto an A-10 Thunderbolt II Nov. 7 at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. The bomblets are bound for the Avon Park Air Ground Training Complex as part of Exercise Atlantic Strike VI. The exercise is a U.S. Central Command Air Forces-sponsored exercise aimed at improving the coordination between joint terminal attack controllers and aircraft during urban close-air-support scenarios.
