Hill volunteers recover long-missing Phantom
Volunteers from Hill Air Force Base, Utah, hike Oct. 17 to the site where an F-4 Phantom crashed nearly 30 years ago to help in the recovery of the aircraft remains. The aircraft crashed in the Deep Creek Mountains that span the Utah-Nevada border. The trip from the base camp to the crash site was eight miles through rock, dirt and dried creeks and took about 90 minutes to cover. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Clayton Murray)
