Warrior Flight
Army National Guard Sgt. Kisha Makerney smiles with retired Doolittle Raider Lt. Col, Dick Cole during a day dedicated to disabled veterans on Nov. 5, 2009, in San Antonio. The Disabled American Veterans Flight Team coordinated a flight day for wounded warriors and their families to fly in historic military aircraft and experimental acrobatic planes at the San Antonio International Airport. Sergeant Makerney is a Fort Townsend, Okla., native currently assigned to the Warrior Transition Unit at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. Colonel Cole and aircrews came from across the region to participate in the Randolph Air Force Base Forging the Future Air Show on November 7-8. Colonel Cole was Col.
