Airmen aid Stop Hunger Now
1st Lt. Michael Hefferly hammers down a bucket full of rice- and soy-based meals for shipment to Afghanistan during the Stop Hunger Now event Oct. 24, 2009, at the MERCI Mission Center in Goldsboro, N.C. The items are shipped to Afghanistan courtesy of the Denton Program, which allows private U.S. citizens and organizations to use space available on U.S. military cargo planes to transport humanitarian goods and supplies to countries in need.
