Historic Air Force heritage
Col. Jay Raymond (left), 21st Space Wing commander at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., and Lt. Col. Jennifer Moore, 76th Space Control Squadron commander at Peterson, pass the squadron's share of the Flying Tigers heritage to Col. Steve Arthur, 442nd Fighter Wing commander at Whiteman AFB, Mo. Reservists from the 442nd FW are forming the new 76th Fighter Squadron that will assume the heritage, reuniting the three pieces of the Flying Tigers legacy held by the 74th, 75th and 76th squadrons, under the 23rd Fighter Wing for the first time since World War II.
