Afghans train Afghans with American mentorship
Afghan National Police Capt. Muhammad Ajan explains proper reporting procedures to Afghan National Auxiliary Police trainees during drill practice Sept. 3 at Forward Operating Base Mehtar Lam in Afghanistan's Laghman province. Afghan National police instructors are teaching the course on their own for the first time. Laghman is the first Afghanistan province to have Afghan instructors teaching an ANP course. The ANP instructors were competitively selected and completed an instructor development course taught at a regional training center. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Jim Varhegyi)
