Airmen mentorship helps develop Afghan hospital
Afghan national army Maj. Abdul Ghafar (background) and Army Staff Sgt. Johnathan Moore wheel a hospital bed from a warehouse to a new $6.5 million, 50-bed ANA hospital Aug. 17 in Afghanistan. The state-of-the-art facility is located on the ANA's Hero Camp near Kandahar Airfield in southern Afghanistan. Major Ghafar is the ANA's 205th Hero Corps warehouse commander. He is also in charge of all logistical support for the 205th. Sergeant Moore is a medical logistics technician and ANA mentor deployed from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
