Humanitarian mission impacts team, residents
Capt. Christine Crawford holds a newborn baby July 25 at Espiritu Santo hospital in Vanuatu. Captain Crawford is a general medical surgical nurse assigned to the 3rd Wing from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. She was part of an obstetrics/gynecological surgical team that visited Espiritu Santo island in the nation of Vanuatu to train medical staff and perform surgery. The team was part of the Oceania Humanitarian Assistance Mission that brought medical, dental and engineering servicemembers to perform civil assistance projects on Vanuatu, Nauru and Kiribati July 20 through 30.
