Providing a Valiant Shield
An F-15 Eagle takes off during Exercise Valiant Shield Aug. 8 from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. Valiant Shield is an exercise that focuses on integrated joint training and interoperability among U.S. military forces while responding to a range of mission scenarios. Held in the Guam operating area, the exercise includes 30 ships, 280 aircraft and more than 20,000 servicemembers from the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.
