Reserve, active duty units partner for 'win-win' training
Capt. Grady Dieckert checks his charts during an aeromedical training mission July 19 that originated at Pope Air Force Base, N.C. The mission provided the opportunity for the Reserve flying unit there to train with one of the active duty aeromedical evacuation units there. Captain Dieckert is a pilot with the Air Force Reserve Command's 440th Airlift Wing. The flight was one of the first operational missions for the 440th AW from its new location at Pope AFB. The Reserve unit moved to North Carolina from Wisconsin in June. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. Ann Knabe)
