Gunfighter Flag wraps up
Capt. Robert Stimpson, a 64th Aggressor Squadron pilot from Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., heads for base operations at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, after flying a training mission Sept. 23 during Gunfighter Flag. With a mission to know, teach and replicate any threat friendly forces may face, pilots from the 64th AGS flying F-16 Fighting Falcons represented enemy aircrews as ?red air force? participants during the exercise. Gunfighter Flag, which ran from Sept. 14 through 24, was Mountain Home?s first large-scale, multi-national exercise which brought more than 450 personnel from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and Canadian air force to the base.
