Air Force 'Guardian Angels' put to test at survival competition

A competitor in the 2007 SERE (survival, evasion, resistance and escape) Challenge approaches the shore after a 300-meter swim through frigid water in Colville National Forest near Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. The SERE Challenge was open to members of the Guardian Angel weapons system: SERE specialists; pararescuemen; and combat rescue officers.
