Summer lab gives cadets engineering experience

Tech Sgt. Steven D. Wolfe mentors Air Force Academy Cadets 2nd Class Sean Fitzgerald and Sean Houseworth on the proper use of a back hoe during the Field Engineering and Readiness Laboratory course at the Academy. The course exposes cadets to several aspects of civil engineering, including heavy equipment operation, steel bridge construction, designing and pouring concrete beams and paving portions of a road.
