Weather flight keeps pilots safe
American and Portuguese servicemembers monitor the weather at 17 European locations, to provide up-to-the-minute information for pilots passing through June 1 at Lajes Field, the Azores. Before any flight can take off from Lajes Field, members of the 65th Operations Support Squadron Weather Flight provide an in-depth briefing covering the weather at the base, the destination, and all points in between.
