Flying a hawk home
Staff Sgt. Trevor Smith ensures the rotors do not move on the HH-60G Pave Hawk during a final check of the aircraft, Sept. 9, 2009, at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The Pave Hawk must be secure on the C-17 Globemaster III to ensure it doesn't get damaged in flight back to its home station. Sergeant Smith is a helicopter crew chief from the 455th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and deployed from Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England.
