Airmen deliver strategic aid to Lebanese military

Two Lebanese soldiers unload ammunition delivered by the 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron May 26. The C-17 Globemaster III is capable of rapid delivery of troops and cargo to any location worldwide. The 816th, from their strategic location in Southwest Asia, maintained operations in Iraq and Afghanistan while supporting the effort to re-supply the Lebanon Armed Forces. The squadron has flown about 850 sorties in May, to include the ammunition re-supply mission, cargo and passenger movement and Joint Precision Guided Air Drops. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt.
