Shaw to begin one-year hybrid refueler test

The environmentally-friendly, 72,000-pound hybrid, the only one of its kind in the Air Force, is undergoing a one-year test at Shaw to see how much money it saves on fuel, maintenance and other cost measurements. Sergeant Quinn is a vehicle technician and Lieutenant Buckallew is a maintenance flight commander. Both are assigned to with the 20th Logistics Readiness Squadron.
