A-10 provides top cover for troops in Iraq
Senior Airman Joseph Cordero, Staff Sgt. Andrew House and Staff Sgt. Barrett Read trouble shoot an electronic error on an A-10 Thunderbolt II April 25 on the flightline at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq. The 438th Air Expeditionary Group A-10s perform 10 sorties daily providing top cover for ground forces in Iraq, with 900 sorties in this last four months. Airman Cordero's hometown is Beacon, N.Y.
