Repair team keeps Kunsan mission going

Members of the 8th Civil Engineer Squadron Airfield Damage Repair team install anchors in the Mobile Aircraft Arresting System April 19 at Kunsan Air Base, South Korea. The MAAS contains the cable used to stop damaged aircraft that cannot stop on their own during landing. Kunsan AB is currently undergoing an Operational Readiness Inspection to test the 8th Fighter Wing's ability to conduct its wartime mission. During exercises, ADR teams perform several functions including crater repair after simulated attacks and airfield lighting during simulated power outages, making it possible to get aircraft back in the air quickly.
