Satellite-savvy cadets accomplish out of world experiments
Cadet senior Charlette Freedman explains to cadet commander senior Johann Pambianchi April 12 when the next Falcon Satellite-3 pass will occur at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Based on orbital mechanics of the satellite which launched in March from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., a pass occurs three or four times per day. The satellite was designed and built, by Academy cadets who now test and operate it. The project is administered by the USAFA Space Systems Research Center. (U.S. Air Force photo/Mike Kaplan)
