Raider goblet ceremony

Cadet 1st Class Scott Crellin removes a goblet from its case during a goblet ceremony April 18 in San Antonio. Two cadets are responsible for guarding the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders goblets when they are on display during reunions. This reunion marks the 65th Anniversary of the Tokyo Raid in 1942. There are 80 goblets representing all 80 Doolittle Raiders. When a Raider dies, his goblet is turned over in the case. When there are but two Raiders left, the two men will open a bottle of cognac, vintage 1896 (the year Doolittle was born) give a final toast to their departed comrades. Fourteen of the 80 Raiders are still alive. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Brian Ferguson)
