F-22s use refueling 'pit stop'
Amn Amery Caoili pulls the hose from the fuel truck to unwind it during hot pit operations at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Hot pits allow fighters to be refueled in a fraction of the time it would take if the aircraft had to be shut off and parked during a normal turn time. Airman Caoili is a fuels distribution operator with 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Kevin Nichols)
