Training to survive
Staff Sgt. Daniel Roman trains Captains Gregory Davis and Pierre Alvarado on compass usage and mapping April 10 at the Tama Hills Recreation Center near Yokota Air Base, Japan. Sergeant Roman is a a survival, evasion, resistance and escape specialist from the 374th Operational Support Squadron. SERE specialists are a small specialized career field in the Air Force who train members from all branches of the military on how to survive in all environments and conditions.
