Climbing to the top

Master Sgt. Regina Coonrod pauses to enjoy the view March 30 as she climbs a 1,500-foot mountain called the "Ghar." Making the climb is a long-standing tradition most servicemembers undertake during their deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan, and is a popular challenge for U.S. and coalition servicemembers to accomplish. Sergeant Coonrod is deployed from Bolling Air Force Base, D.C. (U.S. Air Force photo/Technical Sgt. Cecilio M. Ricardo Jr.)
