C-130s leaving Alaska
Capt. Ryan Hendrickson looks out over the vast Alaska wilderness during the final flight March 23 of a C-130 Hercules belonging to the 517th Airlift Squadron. After 43 years of continuous service in Alaska, the flight marked the end of the C-130 era at the 517th. Airmen at Elmendorf soon will see C-17 Globemaster IIIs taking over the airlift mission.
