New Horizons-Nicaragua 2007
Army Sgt. Doug Magee, deployed to Nicaragua with the 820th Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron, installs rafters at a new school in San Martin de la Calera, during New Horizons-Nicaragua 2007 March 23. The school will serve about 100 children who currently walk four miles to reach the closest school. Sergeant Magee is from the South Dakota National Guard's 153rd Engineering Battalion. New Horizons - Nicaragua 2007 is a $7.25 million joint U.S. and Nicaraguan humanitarian and training exercise that will also provide a medical clinic, as well as free health and veterinary care in the Nicaraguan countryside.
