Tankers keep aircraft in the fight 24-7
Airman 1st Class John Reschke calculates the weight and balance of a KC-135 Stratotanker March 22 before takeoff from a forward deployed location for a refueling mission. Airman Reschke is a tanker boom operator for the 340th Air Refueling Squadron. The aircrews refuel a variety of coalition aircraft throughout the region with aircraft that are oftentimes twice the age of the Airmen who fly and maintain them. .
