Sled dogs from musher William Kleedehn's dog sled team wait for a check up at the Dog Drop in North Pole. The Dog Drop is the last checkpoint before mushers and their teams cross the Yukon Quest finish line in Fairbanks. The Yukon Quest is a 1,000-mile international dog sled race held annually in Alaska. Mushers race through territory from Whitehorse to Fairbanks. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Gloria Wilson)
