District of Washington officials provide fast, safe evacuation for biological attack exercise
Master Sgt. Michelle Getman (center) and members of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency handle small cotton filters used to test contamination levels of the air before and after a helicopter evacuation July 11 at the Pentagon. Sergeant Getman and other Air Force District of Washington Airmen worked with 18 different state and federal agencies assisting the PFPA in an Operational Response Test. The test was designed to provide first responders with information on the best methods to decontaminate people following a biological attack. Sergeant Getman is from the Air Force District of Washington Emergency Management Response team. (U.S. Air Force photo)
