55th Wing marks 6,000 days in Southwest Asia

Visitors check out the first RC-135 Rivet Joint aircraft that deployed to Southwest Asia at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., where the 55th Wing celebrated its 6,000 straight days of deployment to the region during a ceremony Jan. 11. The first RC-135 saw action during Desert Storm in 1990, and elements of the 55th Wing have been continuously deployed to the region since then. (U.S. Air Force photo/Daren Reehl)
