Life on the tarmac
Tech. Sgt. Ginger Forsyth monitors the performance of a newly repaired C-130 Hercules engine that had a new valve housing installed Dec. 13 at Camp Lemonier, Djibouti. The repair enabled delivery of supplies into Nairobi the following day. Sergeant Forsyth is a C-130 crew chief deployed from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Airmen assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa help prevent conflict, promote regional stability and protect coalition interests in order to prevail against extremism. More than 1,500 people from each branch of the U. S. military, civilian employees, coalition forces and partner nations make up the organization. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Scott Wagers)
