One final salute
More than 200 friends and relatives gathered to pay their respects to Capt. Kermit Evans Dec. 12 at Arlington National Cemetery . Capt Evans was a member of the 27th Civil Engineering Squadron Explosives Ordnance Disposal Flight at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M. He was deployed to Iraq when the helicopter he was a passenger in made an emergency landing and crashed. He was one of the four out of 16 who were killed as a result of the crash. He is srvived by his wife, Perneatha, and Kermit Jr., their 13-month-old son. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Cohen Young)
