Remembering the Pearl Harbor attack
A ceremony at the Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, flagpole was held Dec. 7 to honor the 189 who died and 303 who were wounded during a surprise attack by Japanese fighter aircraft 65 years ago. The consolidated barracks, what is now the Pacific Air Forces headquarters, was reportedly the most bombed building on Oahu. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Shane A. Cuomo)
