Inspecting the mail
Armed with chemical suits and hazardous material sensors, Tech. Sgt. Steve Gaunt and Senior Airman Tyrone Fisher inspect packages for contamination recently at Camp Stryker, Iraq. All mail that is improperly labeled, doesn't have a return address or gets lost in the system has to be inspected before it can be processed. The Iraqi government returns the mail to the Joint Military Mail Terminal, but necessary precautions are taken because the mail left the military postal system. Sergeant Gaunt is deployed from Alabama Air National Guard's 117th Air Refueling Wing. Airman Fisher is deployed from the Indiana Air National Guard's 181st Intelligence Wing. Both are assigned to the 447th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Tim Beckham)
